Talking about the firsts …

In my first post I will talk about some of the first books that I ever read and my favorite ones.

I wasn’t a big fan of reading, but I became one at the age of 12. The first novel that I read was Treasure Island. Treasure Island is an adventure novel by the author Robert Louis Stevenson. It’s been a long time since I last read it so I really can’t remember who are the main characters or what was the plot ,but I know that it was about pirates, young boy and  buried gold<< too bad that my memory can’t save everything ,but maybe because this is not my favorite genre of  novels. I also remember the famous say in this book was “Fifteen Men On The Dead Man's Chest”<< ah memories :)

Gone with the wind is my favorite romance\ drama novel. I think I read it when I was 16 or 17 years old. It’s written by Margaret Mitchell. The main character is Scarlett O'Hara and the whole novel talks about her life and experiences. There is a 4 hours movie based on this book that won 8 academy awards ,but I was never been able to complete watching it … Duh.

Stolen lives is the first autobiography book that I read. I finished reading this book two weeks ago and I am still in shock. Stolen lives talks about the life of Maleka Ofkeer from Morocco who was the daughter of the general Muhammad Ofkeer. She was adopted by the king Muhammad V and When she became 18 her father was part of a coup d'état attempt on the king Hassan II. As a result, her father was executed and she with her mother, 5 siblings and 2 maids lived in desert jail for 20 years. The book is very touching and moving. It Makes you think 1,000 times before whining about the life that you have because whatever it was it not a jail and torture without a crime or trail.
